Go to “Localization”->”Geo Zones”. Click on “+” icon to add geo zones.
Let's say, you want to set different taxes for Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba. Then, you need to add three different geo zone names. Each geo zone name includes one province.
Enter the Geo Zone Name, Click on "Add Geo Zone" and select the country and one province.
Don't forget to click on "save" icon to save your settings.
After you add all the geo zones. It will be like this.
Go to “Localization”->”Tax Classes”. Click on "+" icon to add a tax or click on "Edit" icon to edit a tax.
Then, enter the tax class title. Click on "+" icon, select geo zones from the list and set the tax rate. Click on "save" icon to save your settings.
Go to "Catalog"->"Products". Edit the products and select the tax rate for the product. Save the settings.
Customers from different geo zones will be charged with different taxes.
